Massage TherapistMy name is Lisa, and I've been a massage therapist here in Texas for five years.
I graduated from Texas Massage Institute in Plano and got my first job working at Therapeutic Massage of Texas, where I took an apprentice-type role under a Deep Tissue specialist. It was here that I discovered my passion for therapeutic massage and learned many techniques that I still use today. In addition to my informal training, I have been formally trained in deep tissue, pre-natal massage, and medical massage to address issues such as headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, scoliosis, and fibromyalgia.
Besides massage therapy, I have a wide variety of interests including travel, mission work, sports, reading, and writing. I have been involved in mission efforts in the country of El Salvador since 2002 and was given the opportunity to live there for several months in 2006.
When I came back to the US, I began working again as a massage therapist as well as recently returning to college to pursue a degree in International Studies. One of my long-term goals is to open my own massage therapy practice abroad.
